Education Consultant & Researcher
Sharon has worked with schools at different stages of their improvement journey as a Specialist Leader of Education, Lead Practitioner, Head of Mathematics and now as an Education Consultant and Researcher.
She provides strategic support to schools which includes analysis of current and historical data to identify strengths and deficits in teaching skills. These data analyses support quality assurance of curriculum content for different classes. Sharon also conducts classroom observations, and provides feedback on lessons to model how this can be done: this service is usually requested for middle leaders new to their role. She also provides coaching and mentoring to Initial Teacher Trainees, Newly/Recently Qualified Teachers and experienced teachers needing to improve their practice.
Sharon has current experience of educational research. This experience, in conjunction with the local context and understanding of student needs, has enabled her to produce evidence-based solutions for improvement.
With a keen interest in learning and professional development, Sharon continues to expand her knowledge through research and further study;
